Succes Stories & Helpful Hints

Lest this blog be all negative, here's the spot to share some positive things like:

1) A satisfactory experience with Webkinz customer service. Please include specifics to help others.

2) Tips to make Webkinz run better. For example, some of the Webkinzmomz.com crew recommended only filling your rooms 3/4 full of items.

Either leave a comment at the end of this post or leave a link to your own blog via Mr. Linky.

I called 800-724-5902 and actually got a human and both of my kids webkinz are now working. They had to reset their accounts but the tech said that their old code would be usable again tomorrow so now they will have two pets online and gave a bunch of money to replace what was lost. It doesn't make up for the crying 6 year old I have had since Christmas but it does help some. Everyone should call the number maybe they will fix the problem quicker instead of letting parents explain to their small children that a website doesn't work so they can't play with their new toy.

Our Webkinz page went blank and we have "flash player" it works with every other address. Thank you for posting the customer support email address,'support@webkinz.com'. We will see what happens. The lack of technical support for a known issue, since it is listed second in the FAQs, is kind of bazaar, considering this company makes a product whose only unique characteristic is access to this web page. Go Figure?

Huh. A few months ago, one of my 5 Webkinz became invvisible, like it never excisted, which means I couldn't get into the room, no pet picture in ANYTHING. I could still play with it (just not in the room) but I sent Customer Service a note, and they actually fixed it within a week.

Webkinz is a wonderful way to teach children about money management and collaboration. However, there is nothing to teach them about giving and charity. It would be wonderful if there could be a way to "donate" to charity or "adopt a less fortunate family". They could be rewarded with a gem or kinzcash or something for their Webkinz room. This would teach them about "giving" instead of it always being about me, me, me...how do I get more "stuff" for me, me, me. Does anyone know how to send Webkinz this suggestion? Couldn't find a way through the site.

I will have to say I have been frustrated with not being able to contact Webkinz from their site. But I finally found a solution. We were having trouble with my daughter's webkinz site, accessing a couple of rooms and pet, etc. I clicked on Customer Support > Comments & Suggestions > Our question does not appear above. I filled out the information and got a phone call in less than 24 hours. They had already worked on the problem and we discussed what had been done and I was told to call if there were any other related issues. I was quite pleased.

"However, there is nothing to teach them about giving and charity." -Eun

I don't know how long they've had them, but there are Webkinz that have special red tags called "Webkinz Cares". The Red tag reads: “Webkinz Cares. A portion of each sale goes to the Webkinz Foundation”. The inside reads: “Webkinz Foundation, the webkinz foundation is dedicated to improving the welfare, development, health, and safety of children. A portion of each sale goes to the Webkinz Foundation”.
The adoptee receives special gifts in their account as well as a random Webkinz user(and it says something like, "doesn't it feel great to give").

Another way you can give is by sending friends notes and/or packages through Kinz Post.

Hope this helps.
