In fall 2007 my 6 year old daughter lost everything in one of her rooms. Since I wasn't sure if she shared her password, I chalked it up to experience.

Tonight all the items from my son's room disappeared, while he was logged on and after he had just seen them. The items returned to his room a few hours later. He was lucky. My daughter's things are still missing.

Besides the frequency with which the site is down, there are other issues. Bought a room, but the site went down in the middle of the process. The $$ were deducted from my account, but no room.

Of course, support takes forever to answer, and then aren't helpful anyway.

I am SOOOOO frustrated with Ganz. I have been trying to contact them since Xmas morning when my girls' two Webkins (from Santa, of course) didn't work. How do you explain that one? I have emailed support, logged on daily to send help requests, and even received an email (blank) which supposedly indicated the problem was fixed. I do have a job and a life separate from Webkinz world, so this is getting a little old. Other friends are having the same issue. How do we get heartless corporate America to listen? This really, really stinks--

My daughter has been unable to access her room since creating her account on Christmas. Not only that, but she can't play or chat with any of friends. The most difficult part is that her sister can using the same computer, so we know it's not a technical issue on our end. We have tried unsuccessfully to contact webkinz support through their website. I will not be purchasing anymore as the amount of tears that my 6 year old has shed over this is not worth any toy!

We've had the same problems as the other posters. 2 kids, 2 accounts, one works fine, the other logs my daughter out every time she tries to enter the room and at other unexpected times. Also, to get the mail response you need to enter the room. Since we can't get into the room that's pretty useless. The children each rec'd 2 webkins for xmas, we only registered one for each. I'm wary of `'adopting" the other one until these issues are resolved. I will not be purchasing another webkin.

I also checked out some of the IT posts on their site and servers and it seems like someone through this site up in their garage. I should have looked into this before the kids asked Santa for webkins and we could have avoided a lot of tears from my 5 year old.

It doesn't seem that Webkinz cares about the customers, the young children, who are oh so excited to get these coveted toys, only to be disappointed when the website won't work. All they seem to care about is selling them and making money off them. My son's pet's room hasn't loaded for 2 weeks now. It freezes up 3/4 of the way through loading. I've e-mailed tech support 4 times, and haven't even gotten a hastily generalized confirmation e-mail. I'm so frustrated with this company, and I'm even more frustrated that I gave one out for a Christmas gift. What a waste.

My daughters got two webkinz pets each for Christmas to add to the three they already have. In the last two days one of my daughters has lost most of the rooms including the bedrooms of the three last pets. Since the pets were 'in bed' at the time they too have gone. She now has four rooms down from about 12 or 13. The pets profiles are still there in 'my pets' but she cannot play with them. I know this isn't a case of someone taking them as you can't steal or give away a room. I have not had one reply to any of my emails to date. They just don't care. I think the whole website is a scam anyway since they taunt you with various games and items but you have to buy something just to play. I am not made of money. If I had known I would have to invest so much time and money, I would never have started!

Since January began, my children have been unable to even access the webkinz site. We keep getting this girl with a backpack and links to all the places we can buy more webkinz. Is anyone else having this problem? Have they changed their URL address? I can get to customer service, but I cannot get a logon screen.

Bonnie, I think lots of people are having that problem. (That's one reason this blog is here.) You can check out the Contact Webkinz part of this blog to get some different options. Just keep trying to log on.

BTW, I visited your blog. Your paintings are wonderful.

I'm lucky so far I guess, none of my rooms or pets have gone missing, but I logged in today to find that my active pet was naked, and he had been wearing Christmas clothes - of course, can't contact anyone.

The help files say it's impossible for anything to go missing unless one shares their password - they might want to update that.

The whole site is getting very frustrating.

no one ever broke into my account, but one of my friends who had 32 webkinz went to her account and every one of her 41 rooms were empty. i don't know why people do this.

My 6-year old daughter is having a bad week. First the flu, and now she has lost everything on WebKinz. She logged in and everything was gone. All of her items - furniture, food, clothes, etc., were gone and she was left with 1 KinzCash dollar. She has cried many times about this and is so frustrated that she no longer wants to log into the website. It's frustrating because she has invested a lot of time and money (8 WebKinz and many packs of cards) and it all has been basically stolen from her.

venting our frustration on blogs doesn't seem to help. there seems to be a came of fraud here and someone with some knowledge of the law needs to take action on everyones behalf. (I am not such an individual) a class action lawsuit needs to be made

I have 3 children and all three of their accounts have been compromised by something. All of their furniture and items have dissapeared fromtheir rooms, what kind of a scam are they running here? I can't get in touch with webkinz to find out what happened. They are young children, so no one except us parents know the passwords, and we didn't steal the kids stuff. I am very frustrated and angry. Try explaining why this happened to your 3,5, and 7 year old.

For those of you who have empty rooms, invite someone else over and see what happens. My friend came to my empty room and she could see all my stuff. She even rode around on my scooter while I stood there. It just looked like she was walking to me and it looked like I was walking through my furniture to her. That tells me it's a Ganz problem and not theft. Uggghhh.

All the frogs' belongings have disappeared! When my two young sons logged on yesterday, their pets' rooms and gardens, and their docks, were completely empty (except for the floors and wallpaper). Their pets were Christmas presents, and they've been completely obsessed with them for nearly a month - but now it's all gone sour. The boys are very upset, and I'm mad. What's going on? I've sent e-mails, and I've now been on hold to Ganz for 48 minutes (they're clearly not going to answer). It's not a case of theft (how can that even happen in a kids' game??) as the boys don't even know their log-on IDs. Ganz will need to fix this, or I'll have to report them to the Consumer Protection Agency. This is not an appropriate circumstance for a 5-year old.

Two nights ago my daughter and I were playing on webkinz, and we went to do her daily kinzcare. When we clicked on the day, it gave us a message saying "Unable to connect, you are now being logged out." Since then, everything is missing in her dock and in her rooms. She is heartbroken. We can access the account, but anytime we do anything that would reward us with an "item" for our dock, it never shows up and automatically logs us out. Unfortunately, nobody at Ganz cares. If they cared, they would have left more than 18 spaces for an email address. Most standard forms hold at least 40 characters. So, we had to set up a new email address to even send an email, which has still had no response. Contacting their office headquarters has done nothing. My six year old daughter has spent all her free time trying to earn extra money doing chores around the house to save up for trading cards and more webkinz.
I feel like I have been completely ripped off, which wouldn't even bother me except for the fact that it also involved ripping off my child. Do they realize the despair they have caused our children??? Imagine a child carrying a little coin purse filled with all their money in it as they entered a store to purchase a toy they worked days to earn. Then, imagine them walking up to the item they wanted, picking it up... only to have a shoplifter steal their coin purse out of their hands, leaving them moneyless. Imagine the despair that child feels when they have the toy in their hand finally and have no means to buy it anymore.
That is what our children are experiencing. They are aware of the site now, they want to play on it, and we are the ones that have to sit here and try to explain in simple terms that they just can't get to the site today, or tomorrow, probably the day after that, and frankly ... they may not ever get their stuff back.
It sickens me to know that people don't care enough to fix the problems and help resolve the hurt these kids are experiencing. I will be contacting our news station, maybe they can help. If not, I suppose I will sit on my hands while Ganz continues to get rich.

We are new to Webkinz. I think the website is a GREAT idea. Unf, we keep getting kicked off. So far, we haven't noticed some of the other problems I've heard about with missing things, but it's so disappointing to a 4 or 6 year old to be in the middle of an activity or game they are excited about and then lose it all. I was really excited to teach them about earning and using money, caring for a pet, using their own creativity, computer skills, etc. What a great IDEA for kids. However, with the way it's working so poorly, I don't know if we'll keep using it. After several failed attempts to contact them, I'm feeling frustated and taken advantage of. After all, we shelled out fifteen bucks apiece for six ugly stuffed animals that I wouldn't have paid for at the Dollar Store without the website. Also, on the format they provide for contacting customer service, my email address does not even fit!
Here's hoping they get their technical and customer service departments in gear so we can enjoy it again!

Hey there!
I am a mom with 2 kids/2 webkinzs each. About 4 days ago, my daughter logged on and everything in her room was missing and all her kinzcash gone-
We're talking 15,000 worth of virtual cash. There is only one girl that she has shared her password with but I didn't want to point the finger. I'm so livid that someone would do this. I went to the customer support site and it said that only if someone has access to your account- this would happen.
Do you know if someone could access it while your computer is asleep and you don't log out? I think Ganz should be able to ban kids who steal from others.

When we adopted one pet, it crashed at the exact moment the pet logged in. No room, no welcome gift. Due to frequency of crashes we've lost 4 rooms and now are unable to place anything in various rooms on 2 accounts.

My daughter & son have about 10 Webkinz each. For awhile everything worked great. Then about 3 months ago they would try and log in and it would say the password was wrong. So we would change the password only to have it changed to something else the next day. Then all their items, rooms & Kinzcash was missing. Last week my daughter was on and a Webkinz used bad language! Last week my daughters best friend called her to see if she was logged into Webkinz. My daughter was not but someone else was on her account! When my daughters friend confronted the person they logged off. We have tried to contact Webkinz more times than we can count and have never recieved a response. My children have given up. We will never purchase a Webkin again or a Ganz product for that matter.

Both of my daughters have lost thousands of kinzcash. They are both very upset and cried over this. No one has their password. It could only be a hacker or programing errors. Either way Ganz is responsible. I can't believe that they will let their succeful product be slammed because of this. I for one will never purchase any of their products unless they do something about this. I am trying to see what us consumers can do about this. Any thought???

I bought a pet at a Hallmark store and the code didn't work. (This is my daughter's 17th pet so we are not new to Webkinz). Anyway, I have been trying since Jan 11th, almost one month to adopt the pet online. After 20 emails and 10 phone calls they still haven't resolved the matter. How hard is for them to turn on a virtual bull frog in my 7 years old account.

What a scam. We gave a webkinz to our child for Christmas. Lack of anything resembling customer service began when the registration failed. 8 weeks after our initial contact with webkinz "customer support", the registration problem still isn't fixed.

Advice: Put the money you wanted to spend on a webkinz into your child's college fund. You'll likely use the college money long before you get any customer service from webkinz.

Webkinz has by far the worst customer support I have ever had the misfortune of using. I added an animal to an existing account in December 2007. The animal's room and special item did not appear on the account so I contacted Webkinz through their Customer Service site. In the 2+ months since I opened the call I have received 1 email and 1 phone call. Both times I was basically told that


Thank you for your question regarding missing or lost items/Kinzcash.

While it is not a regular occurrence, missing items/Kinzcash can be caused by a momentary ‘hiccup' in Webkinz World. This has been noted in accounts that may have items stored improperly (items blocking doorways, overloading rooms excessively with items). For more information on how to store items and decorate rooms correctly please refer to the Webkinz Guide, which can be found in the 'Things to Do' menu once you log-in.

Please be advised that, as stated in our User Agreement, the website and all materials contained on it are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis, without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied. Any lost or missing items resulting from a minor anomaly on the website will NOT be awarded. For more information please refer to the User Agreement located on the main Webkinz homepage.

We are aware that sometimes technical problems do arise while using the website and we continue to address these issues. Our technical team works very hard to not only fix problems as they arise but also to make sure that once an issue is identified and fixed, it does not reoccur.

I'M SO FRUSTRATED WITH THE WEBKINZ SERVICE! I SPENT OVER 400 DOLLARS ON WEBKINZ, BUYING MY DAUGHTER 46 WEBKINZ YET THE SERVICE IS CONSTANTLY FAILING TO PROVIDE THE ONLINE SERVICE! THEY CANNOT SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO IMPROVE THEIR WEBKINZ SERVICE! MY DAUGHTER, EVERYTIME SHE LONG I SHE HAS TO WAIT IN LINE FOR ONE TIME 10MINUTES WHILE SHE IS CONSTANTLY BE LOGGED OUT I'M SO ANGRY AT GANZ CO.

Ours may not seem like a real problem, but I think it is! For almost 2 weeks now, my son has been unable to feed his pet, because everything stands at 100%. That's all fine and great, but part of the educational side of this is to care for your pet. Plus it's fun to feed the pets the fun creations they make from the recipes. Anyone else have this problem??

We have been unable to even get on the website and could not find a phone number to talk to a human. We did everything they asked us to do for technical support on the website and even called my own Internet Company with no help to get even Logged On! When we try to Log In the second screen says Done and is blank!! After reading all these other problems everyone is having, I think we are lucky that we cannot go there!!

today my daughter was selling something that she was going to get 1000 kinz cash for so then she put in her item and then a box popped up that said you will now be logged out of webkinz and then my daughter logged back in and she sold her item but it didnt give her any money for it i think that is ridiulous the same thing happened to my son with a bed and i think if your going to have a childrens website this should not ever happen!

About 2 weeks ago my son had a plant.He was changing the spot of it in his room.All he wanted to do was change where it was locazted in his room.When he was moving it a box popped up that said you will now be logged out of webkinz world.So then my son logged back in.When he logged back in there is no plant.He was upset for the next 2 days.This is so frustrating because that is definitley not the only time that has happened to him.We have wasted lots of money on these toys.I will never agian buy a webkinz again becasue this website is so STUPID it is supposed to be kid freindly and is not what so ever!I hope someone will stop this or i doubt you will have any more business!There is so many complaints on this website i wonder how many more there are on other complaint desks.It's not like this helps or anything but i want everyone to see that webkinz are a waste of money and time.

I am SO frustrated!!! I need help but there is no way to contact Ganz and my question does not appear on the FAQ. My son's webkinz also never needs to be fed, etc. anymore - always at 100. Not much fun for him. The sign on page still says the site will be updated on Feb. 8, 10 days ago. AND, weird things happen when I hit the help button on the bottom right of the screen. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

I'll probably end up blogging about this myself too...
But ended up here searching to see if anyone else was having similar issues to my own - answer? Yes.

Issues:

1) Can't rename rooms. Have tried in multiple browsers (IE and Firefox) on multiple Operating Systems (XP, 2000) - every attempt at renaming a room gets an error message indicating that an "illegal word" has been used. Have tried such innocuous words as "garden" and "bathroom" but no can do.

2) Can no longer feed pets because all monitors remain at 100% across the boards. This is on 2 different accounts - one with 19 animals, one with 2. Have also tried various browsers and OS's.

Ganz's customer service is useless... and non-existant. Have attempted contacting someone through every online avenue provided - still getting autoresponses unrelated to issues.

Found phone # elsewhere online, will try that next.

Honestly tho? This issue will spell the downfall of Ganz if they don't resolve it. Inability to reach someone to fix an issue is inexcusable in a business that is predominantly online.

Years of experience in the IT field as well as with e-commerce sites tells me that they'd better figure it out soon - before they get out-performed by a competitor. Word of mouth goes a long ways in the day and age of Web 2.0

I have been unable to feed my webkinz for over three weeks now due to the hunger level staying at 100. I have written to support several times and have heard nothing. What are we suppose to do about this?

We too have not been able to feed our pets. My daughter went crazy one night and bought a bunch of food, so there it sits in her dock, and in the refrigerators in her rooms, unusable.

It does take away the fun of taking care of the pet and playing with it.

OMG I FOUND THIS SITE TRYING TO GET SOME HELP WITH MY DAUGHTERS ISSUE "NOT BEING ABLE TO RENAME ANY ROOMS" I WAS RELIEVED TO SEE SOMEONE ELSE HAD THE SAME ISSUE, SINCE WEBKINZ SUPPORT ALMOST CAN CONVINCE YOU YOU'RE CRAZY WITH THE RESPONSES THEY GIVE YOU. I KEEP GETTING THE GENERIC RESPONSE "FOR THE SAFETY OF WEBKINZ WORLD THE DICTIONARY ONLY ALLOWS CERTAIN WORDS" I RECEIVED THIS RESPONSE AGAIN AND AGAIN EVEN AFTER I PLEADED TO HAVE SOMEONE LOOK AT THE ACCOUNT BECAUSE "NO" WORDS WORK PERIOD. THIS WAS SUCH AN ISSUE BECAUSE I THINK WE OWN EVERY WEBKINZ AND WITH THE ROOMS CODED WITH NUMBERS I A UNAMBLE TO HELP MY 6YR OLD FIND HER PETS ROOM. AFTER SEEING THE ISSUES ON THIS SITE I NOW AM IN FEAR OF EVEN HAVING HER USE THE SITE IF SHE LOST HER MONEY OR ITEMS SHE WOULD BE HEARTBROKEN TO SAY THE LEAST. I SUGGEST EVERYONE CONTACT THE BBB BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU YOU CAN FILE COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND THEY WILL BE ADDRESSED. GOOD LUCK ALL

I tried with all versions of browsers IE, Netscape and Firefox it sucks..

It doesn't load or takes a while and then click on my room and it errors out. Its a waste of time and money and kids get frustrated too they just have to wait for ever and nothing comes up

A snip from a Webkinz Tech "Support" email:

Oh sure, these people can put whatever they want in their end user license agreement. The fact is, it is THE WEBKINZ WEBSITE THAT GENERATES ALL THEIR BUSINESS!!! Without the website, they would just be another set of beanie animals. Therefore, they should do everything they can to ensure the website works properly (do you think MAYBE they've made enough money to do something a bunch of high school kids could do?).

The truly despicable thing about this company is that as many people here have noted, their users are little children who are absolutely heartbroken when they lose some sort of functionality. My daughter just adopted a new pet and the site won't give the pet a room. It shows up in the rooms of other pets, but a room of its own was not created. I understand the utter lack of interest this company has in helping out the people who've made their lives so financially rewarding so I'm not going to allow myself to get frustrated by trying to get service from them. That's pathetic.

A note about their greed. We see it everyday as they entice the kids into more and more areas -- only if they purchase new items (please revisit the idea that the "as-is" website is this company's bread and butter). They allows demand that stores selling their products must sell a minimal amount of items. Yes, this store, one of the many hundreds around the country that got this company on its road to undreamed of profit has been told they are not allowed to sell webkinz anymore because they don't have enough room in their tiny shop to stock more. Now the local kids have nowhere to go since we're in a semi-rural area.

This website may not have many comments relative to the number of people who buy and use these products, but consider that the vast majority of people are not doing searches to find this place. I'm sure many, many more people feel the same way.

Anyone out there want to start a CHILD ORIENTED children's company?

i am sick and tired of ganz they don't even want to help. I didn't get my exclusive item when i adopted my pet and all they said was that their computor gives everyonr their gift. So in other words it is my fault that i din'tget it. You can go to ganz.com and click on customer support and they will give you thier phone number and mailing address.

I just recently bought the lil kinz pig because its the March pet of the month, my dad was cleaning the room where I left my codes and that was on Feb. 29 I don't know where the codes are now! I asked what I am supposed to do on the questions page in the newspaper on Webkinz and they said check your room in 24 hours!! So I guess I have to wait 24 hours unless someone tells me what do do otherwise, or we find the codes, and they aren't in the trash!

Today, 3/6/2008. I was finally able to name the rooms, although using limited words, such as "pig", "jungle", not the pet's name. For the past 10 days, my grandchildren were not able to log onto their account. Then mysteriously, I was able to log in to it for 2 days, but all the furniture was gone from every room, now once again, can't log on...So frustrating. I have also noticed that the March pet of the month has not had many 'bonus' offerings this month. Has not given anything special past 2 days. So why try to buy them? The new "wishes" section seems to already have a glitch. When I moved my wish to the Panda to "hold" for me until I collect all 10, it gave a message that "I had caused suspicious activity and that my account was going to be monitored." Now what is that about!!!!??? I also have a gripe about the charms. Can no longer buy them anywhere expcept thru EBAY, yet to progress through the forrest, I need to buy 8 charms...They need to fix this or remove the Charm section. The figurines are overpriced and don't do anything. I have bought 2 of them and when I try to put them in the figurine case, I get kicked off the site That has been happening for 2 weeks...Ganz is really disappointing me. I was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues??

Everything from my Webkinz account was stolen about a month ago. I have been able to afford some nessecities for my 4 Webkinz pets with some sympathy from my friends. What really ticks me off is that Ganz realizes that people are losing their merchandise but they choose not to do anything about it! I am so mad!!!!

Two weeks ago, my four year old daughter finally won the webkinz crown of wonder after one year of going to the mine daily. When she went to put it on her pet, she was logged out and lost her crown in the process. No response with multiple e-mails to the company. She is heartbroken.

I am so frustrated. My daughter has a webkinz account with four pets. When we tried to log into today, it said that we had the wrong password. We clicked the link to reset the password, entering the user name and code EXACTLY as printed on the adoption sheet, but the system said it did not recognize that account. It is as though her account has just disappeared into thin air. To make it worse, she got a little pet shop on-line account this week, and it disappeared too, exactly the same way, the system does not recognize her user name. We tried to find a place where we could get technical assistance, but it is impossible to get to a tech assistance link if you can't log in. I finally logged into my son's account and sent a request for info on how to contact tech support - but from what many of you have said, I am not optimistic that I am going to hear anything back.

This stuff is just crazy. We bought the webkin and can't even get logged in. It says it does not recognize the username. I think everyone should demand their money back or start the process for a class action law suit. This company seems to have cost alot of people alot of money. I can live without the $15 but having my daughter upset is not exceptable. Ganz needs to be show that they can't import goods into the US without being responsible.

Oh My Gosh you guys got rid of the love puppy and the brown and white cheeky dog yea there retired but you should have a store where you can buy the retired webkinz and not just on ebay for $999.95 no one is gonna buy that and alot of people like me and my cousin who want those ones and were not gonna pay $999.95 for one this is a prety bad set up and you should get a better set up and the retired webkinz back in stores :(

My daughter has had money and items missing lately and we had thought it was a friend taking the things. After reading some of the other messages I'm beginning to have second thoughts. Almost everyday now when she tries to log in it tells her to check her password so we have to make up a new one. How about this - the one "weak" place I found on their website to leave a "comment" - it asks for username/password. (Also secret code, etc.). When you go to send the comment (complaint) - it says "username must be at least 6 charcters" - but ours is NOT. Then tried to fake it and added some characters - but then it didnt match their DB. Can you say - their support is a J.O.K.E.! They cant even make their comment function correct.

We bought our daughter a Webkinz and she played with in on the computer for 2 days. Day 3 we went to log in and nothing but a blank screen. I googled the problem and did find a way to get the webpage to come back up but now she can put in all her login info but the Begain Playing button does not work. Go Figure. It is very irritating because she really wants to get back on and I have no answer for her, other than sorry honey I can't get it to work. I will never buy a Webkinz again and would never recommend one!

I am so frustrated. I can not access the webkinz site period and I have no way to contact tech support. I have tried to pull up the official webkinz site but it won't load. There is another URL but it will not display the bottom half of the screen and my daughters have no way of changing pets or even feeding them or accessing items. My three daughters each have 25 webkinz.I am so irritated, does anyone out there have any suggestions that will help our situation.It sure would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a severely frustrated Dad, tired of my daughter's heart being broken by hackers who steal her stuff and change her password. What kind of pathetic creep would steal imaginary stuff from a little girl? She's missed money and had her rooms completely rearranged several times. The hackers have struck at least twice now. Tonight we decided to give away all her codes to her friends and to never log on again, to save her grief. The only way this is going to change is when the money stops flowing to Ganz. Unfortunately, they will probably just take their profits and call it a success. They don't care about our problems or our children.

I go to Webkinz each and every night (unless I work late).

I love Webkinz - and no I don't work for the company. I own my own company and I don't sell them either.

My children each have around 10 Webkinz. I feed them all every day (the ones that need to be fed), I play the games and all the good stuff.

We did get a scare around Easter when my Daughter and Son's furniture was moved around on them. Come to find out that the Webkinz people played an April's Fool's Joke on everyone and did that. But you had to be online and on the ball to notice it.

I am slightly peeved off at the fact that I can't be allowed to write the company an email that clearly depicts what my situation is along with explaining what I have done to rectify the situation. I must choose from their drop down list and have my problem conform to their selections. Not impressed.

I am only writing this notice to hopefully have someone read it and help correct their systems. I can understand that they are trying to make it a safe place for our children, that's outstanding of them because at least I know when my kids are on Webkinz World that they are safe. But at least allow the Parents who use the Parents Area to write emails in our own grown up words. PLEASE

now,everytime i go to the webkinz site,it turns the screen blue,then it just goes plain white.

it's messed up my computer to the point that i can rarely ever get on the internet.

i've spebt at leats iver $200 dollars for the animals & aceceroies...i'm getting tired of all the problems!!!
when we went out for my 7 yr old daughter's b-day,i let her pick out 10 more.
she got home,tried to register them,& all her stuff,even her pets were gone.

We have 2 computors. One downstairs, the other upstairs. First of all, the upstairs webkinz page WON'T LET YOU LOG IN!! And the downstairs computor won't even let you on the home page!

We saw a tip video on Youtube and tried it. To our distress, that didn't work either.

I don't have a specific problem, but I just wanted to address everyone else.
I'm thirteen now, and I got my first Webkinz when I was eleven, only 1 month after the whole thing started. I absolutely loved it- the games, earning money to spend it on something I wanted, then talking to the real stuffed animal like any other.
Recently, however, I've been very disappointed with the new features. The extra things that everyone just HAS to have, which you have to spend real world money on. Taking down my favorite, old, games to make room fo more players. Adding in the extra, daily, to-do features that require even more time on the computer.
Webkinz seemed at first to be my get-away, but now it just gets on my nerves. Just wanted to get my experience out there.

I have had problems with webkinz too.When I went to Texas I went to check on webkinz on my uncles computor and when I tried to login it said that there was such username or password.When I returned home I logged into webkinz and my pets were all 0 on their happieness, health and hunger meter.When I left they were all 100. My daughter got her first webkinz last year, in the summer, and so did her best friend. She was 9 at the time and knew all about internet safety, so I was going to let her on Kinzchat plus. They said it would be open at the end of June. So my daughter and her friend waited until the end of June. Then they said it would be open at the end of Fall. So we waited and when it came to that time they re-did the site and Kinzchat plus was completely gone! My daughter was very mad at this and so was her friend. Even now she is still mad about it.

I use to love to play webkinz, it gave me something to pass the time but now eveyrthing is messed up! I had about 8 packs of virtual trading cards and I had a webkinz charm i was able to acces charm forest earlier today adn now my charm is all of a sudden gone!.. so are my virtual trading cards! The support for the game sucks doesnt help me out at all, im getting so mad with this website. Im soon just going to stop going on it cause its just wasting my money and my time!

I have items stuck in my rooms and I did what it said to do in customer service, and filled out a form with the proper name of the item and the name of the room. I get red letters that say the room name has to be in alphanumeric, I don't understand this since it let me name the rooms when I bought them and never told me this? Needless to say since they will not let me send this form to them, the problem is still there. Is anyone else having this problem???

i decided to but the 8000 dollar egyption televition that was for sale at the curio shop. so i bought it and then later on i was selling a desk at the w shop and on accident i dragged the televition into the wshop. i quikly removed the tv and sold the desk. I AM POSITIVE I DID NOT SELL THE TV!!!!!! so webkinz then kicked me off so i got back on and went to place the tv in my room and it was gone and i had more money on my account then when i left. so i emailed webkinz and told them my problem and they told me that items that are sold cannot be returned to you and to check my dock again. grrrrrrr!!!!! but i didn't sell it! so now the tv is gone and i am mad!

My sons cannot get onto the site at all. When the sign in page comes up, it is all XXX's. Anyone else having this problem? It has been going on for 2 weeks. The other issues is that my one son has Asperger's syndrome and he is flipping out each day since he cannot get on the site. Please help!

Hokay, so I bought my five year old niece three webkinz and two little kinz for her birthday, taking up my whole allowance for two weeks. I figured it was something she might enjoy and she could learn how to earn and spend money. She really loves it. Well, we've both become quite frustrated because we can't log on because of all this maintenance their doing! The website said four days ago...they were doing maintenance and would be back up at 4 PM EST for more fun and games. Four days later it's still not running! Then just now, I logged on through the customer service link. It all worked! She got to work/wheel of wow...all that stuff. Then not even ten minutes later she got logged out for maintenance...again!

I'm sooooo frustrated.

We put in the correct username and password but Webkinz tells us that the password is wrong. We've tried on 3 different computers and unfortunately she's lost the tag. A few months ago I tried to log into webkinz. But, The Log In Page was blank and it didn't let me log in! This was going on for about two weeks. So my mom and I sent a letter to webkinz. About 1 month later we still didn't get a response. We tried the stuff on the support thing but nothing worked. We finally decided to call someone so they could fix our problem. They asked us if we wanted to install firefox just incase it didn't work. We said yes. They fixed our problem so know I could play on webkinz on firefox and internet explorer. It still is frustrating that they never awnser e-mails or letters or phonecalls.
P.S We also sent an e-mail but they never wrote back.

Has anyone compiled the list of complaints and taken them to a source that can help EVERYONE?

So far the standard response seems to be "Well, you signed the user agreement." And of course, that translates into - we don't care, we have your money.

Some of the things I have noticed are ("I" is used for ease of writing but includes my Granddaughter and others of personal acquaintance):

The odds of winning the Quick Draw are 1 in a million. So, if someone did it 4 times everyday, it could take as long as 684 years to win. OR if you put one million pennies (about 2.3 tons in a container roughly the size of a refrigerator) in a machine at the rate of 1 per second (because it takes at least that long for the scratch off to complete), it would take 16,666 hours - at 8 non-stop hours a day, that's 5.6 years.
This is an example of holding the virtual carrot out for something something that doesn't exist (redundant as that is!).

There's a fishing term - chumming, it's where you drop a small amount of bait in an area where there's lots of fish, thereby creating a frenzy. When Ganz puts out a new plush and retires it that same month, as with the Toucan and Crocodile, issued and retired 07/08, American Albino Horse issued and retired 08/2008 and the Sheep and Floppy Pig issued and retired 09/08 as well as another 8 or so that were issued and retired within three months (information gathered from multiple websites) - it sure seems like chumming.

Vapor ware - promoting an item you are not prepared to sale, for what ever reason - appears to be what occurred with the Whimsey Dragon.

It's a common occurrence that a scheduled event is not available.

There are at least two games, Smoothie Moves and Booger Gets an A, that appear to have a cap on the amount Ganz has deemed acceptable but they don't make that public information, so not only do you waste your real time, you don't get your pretend money and are virtually insulted with the blurb about how this is an unobtainable score so you get nothing. It's not that I mind if they have a cap on a game, but let us know what it is so those who do do well are not punished or insulted or wasting their time.

There is a Winner's Corner that posts the winners of daily events. Every day that I have been on the site, I see that kkc and Katie2, clicker 5254 has won the 7pm clicker event. So, what does that mean? Is that the only person in Webkinz that knows about that game? Is that person special in some way? Is that a real person or a virtual one? Is this a real event? If this is not current information, why is regularly posted?

I also notice that nhi and Smudge win the Bingoz game pretty regularly.

Ganz has stated the Clubhouse is once again open. Mine does not work.
Have you been on vacation? Can you access Coral Cove? I cannot.
Did you know that if you can't access the Clubhouse, then you can't access Coral Cove?
I have been watching a survey of those who can versus the those who can't and it has stayed at a consistent 16% can and 84% cannot. This has stayed constant regardless of the number of responses - 500, 1200, 1600, 2000 and 2500.
Ganz has made no effort to fix the problem or advise their community of the correlation between the Clubhouse and Coral Cove.

Ganz said they fixed the Charm Forest - I have 24 charms and did NOT get the 'super exclusive' item.
I know this will surprise you, but I have had no response from Ganz.

The prices they charge for the items at the eStore are incredible. Most children do not get the kind of allowance need to purchase these virtual items, which mostly range from $7-$10. Seven dollars for a picture of an item you can only look at on their website is ludicrous.

If you do the Kinzcare every day for a week, they say you are entered into a drawing for a special item for that week. Have you noticed that the same people win week after week? Fas and Fastail have been listed as the winner of the week for the past three weeks. Does that mean they are special in some way? Does that mean Ganz doesn't really have a weekly drawing?

And speaking of that user agreement:
It's full of legalese that designed to protect them, not you/me/children.
They state they 'may not' resolve your issue. Why should I worry, after all , I figure since I am honest and can provide any information they need to confirm ownership. I have nothing to worry about.
BIG MISTAKE. While they do not have to worry about me picking their pockets, after all, I am honest (not to mention the obvious) and they already have my money. I didn't know I should be worrying about them picking MY pocket.
It seems to me that since they do not provide full and accurate disclosure, they should not be able to hide behind their abuser, ooops, I mean user agreement.

I read a letter from Webkinz touting their site, explicitly claiming they are a children's website, stating they ask themselves
"What do children like?". Amazingly enough no where did they mention making children cry, making them feel bad or stupid, stealing from them, or cheating them. Because they do not fix the ongoing problems with their site, will not return items to accounts and load their site with misleading information - what they are teaching children is that they are of no value, disrespected, easy to steal from and lie to. If this were not they case, they would be all about getting their site functional and providing exemplary customer service - after all this IS a website for children.

It appears the real purpose of this site is to lie and steal from children while simultaneously being able to pick the parents' pockets.

Let's see, six millions accounts, 2 percent per day have issues, 0 percent are fixed. Hmmmm, those odds appear better than the Quick Draw.

Oh and by the way - what about everyone else's problems with Ganz?!!!!!

The little girl went to school and let her little sister play with the animal and told her to feed it. Apparently something went wrong. I can't imagine what these guys are thinking. I play smoothie moves every day. I am addicted. HOWEVER, in the past few days the site crashes EVERY time I play it! I can't get past level 6! The game disappears and the charm forest appears. Weird! anyone else have this problem? What's the solution? When the charm forest loads, it doesn't load the pod in the lower right corner to enter the charm forest.

I adopted the hippo on Nov. 1st and did not recieve my POTM prize.(Pet of the month). That also happened to me with the pug, and Ganz fixed it. My mom called again today, and the same woman told us she could not fix it twice. We told her it happened again and that it is not the same pet. she said they can only fix on thing per account. we are not asking for anything extra, we are asking for what we paid for. BOYCOTT WEBKINZ!

Something needs to be done about Ganz/Webkinz. They are cleaning up these pets and yet their site is down over half the time. In my opinion the Better Business Bureau needs to get involved here and someone needs to force Webkinz to either fix their site or refund money.
My daughter doesn't even want to take the time to log in anymore because it is so frustrating to her!

Im so tired of Webkinz im ready to shun them totally!
First of all .. i have a "stuck item" in a room (so that you can partially see the item but cant remove it or use it, its just stuck in limbo there.) In order for them to help me with it .. i have to have some product code that i just dont have anymore. So .. even though i log into my account every day with my password .. they still wont help me. Im not asking for anything more than a reset. The only way i can get them to help me is to buy and adopt another animal so i have one of these codes. I dont want to give more money to these people who dont support their game!
Also .. for weeks on end if not longer .. i keep getting booted off my games in the middle of them. At first i didnt realize it .. but then i did .. when it kicks me off my game .. to the dreaded "light blue screen" where we sometimes but not always get an error message that they're "not able to load required file" .. im not getting the kinz cash i earned while playing the game. In a couple of the games i can do quite well earning 2 or 3 hundred kinzcash when it boots me and i get NOTHING for a half hour or more of my time in the game! Its infuriating.
I went to Yahoo Answers a couple of weeks ago to see if it was just me (again, because i dont have the magic code .. they wont even deal with me unless i buy, adopt another animal so i have a code. Which incidentally i know we're supposed to save .. but after moving i just cant find 'em!!)
I read that other people were having troubles too so i assumed they were working on it.
The site was down for most of an entire day last week so thought this must be the patch .. they must be fixing it! But alas .. no.
Im so frustrated with this i dont even want to play with them anymore!
When is Webkinz going to supporting their site and backing their products.

Things just aren't getting better with this site, in fact - they're getting worse. I too am dealing with an angry 5 year old who wants to play but keeps getting bumped out in the middle of a game or activity, all money lost. The game, lost. They're NOT able to maintain the site properly and there's actually talk of a class action law suit. I for one don't want it to go that far, just want it so my little one can play her favorite games without fear of being bumped out. GANZ!!! YO!!! :::WAVE:::WAVE::: Over here! Paying customers!!! My daughter and her friends are so angry the past few weeks as well as today when they log on all they get Please wait... Please wait... and nothing for hours. My daughter has three accounts and a total of ninety webkinz, no kidding and she can't play on the site. She also has trading cards, clothes and figures and can't play when she wants too. It's also stupid for children to invite their friends over to their house only to be logged out all the time! Hey Ganz get a clue if you need help why not try e-mailing some parents who might be willing to work some hours from home for you! We are tired of our children complaining and us telling you and nothing happens if you need help there are plenty of people who could use a job and a lot of Mom's and Dad's who would love to work from home because we can't afford to pay day care or sitters. Why not use us to help you instead of using our kids to get money out of us for something that only works once in a great while. Stop ripping off the public you might not like what happens remember what goes around comes around. Remember you were once a child also. Remember how it felt when you got something and it didn't work right your parents brought it back and got you a new one to make you happy. Today I was on webkinz with my friend. It said on the sceen that webkinz is not working you are being loged out. I tried to log back in and it said that it is full try later. Then in about 5 min it said that they are having problems. Every time we log on my friend and I have problems.

I have 13 webkinz and 2 of my animals now have empty rooms. Since it took a lot of time and webkinz cash to decorate them, this is very frustrating! I hope that the problem is corrected very soon!

Same problem here. My two girls were able to use their Webkinz for two weeks. Now their rooms are empty and there is nothing in the shops to purchase. they can't do the daily care , either. it logs them out.

I adopted a Cardinal and a Pug in the same day in January 2009 or December 2008. I named the pug Scruffy and I named the cardinal Phoenix After I adopted them, I DID get presents, but no rooms! I had to buy two rooms for them!

Why on earth I cannot get a contact to solve a problem...
As parents we spend a lot of money on silly stuffed toys, and then, we cannot even upload. We get the webkinz webiste but, when we want log in it comes up with a blank green screen. Interestingly enough when we remove parental controll, it comes up. What does webkinz.com have that I should be worried about. Why is the parentel controll blocking it.

My daughters stuff in her rooms have all disappeared. I tried writing to the webkinz people but nothing back yet. she has put a lot of time into buying rooms and stuff for the rooms. I'm very disappointed with webkinz they need to set up something where we can actually talk to someone or have someone get back asap instead of days or weeks.

I was trying to sign up a webkinz and the system rejected my first name stating that my first name contains a word that they do not allow. The name is Monika. I called 800-724-5902 and customer service simply said to use another name. How disappointing to have your name rejected.

Half of the stuff went missing in one of my daughter's room today. I had her log off and then on again and it was all back again,thankfully.
Also, how do all of these people have the volume of the curio shop's rare furniture for sell on the internet when it's so expensive and is only for sale once in a blue moon? Makes me wonder if these are the people hacking into rooms and stealing stuff. I never dreamed I'd see webkinz virtual furniture for sale on third party sites.

Everyday my son logs in and goes to the Curio shop to find a gem, and every day it tells he has already done it that day. he is really frustrated. I have changed his password (in case it was hacked) to no avail.

I've tried finding a way to get help but they seem to think that the only problems one can run into are the ones they can think of.

My kids (9 yo daughter, two 4 yo sons) all play Webkinz and absolutely love it. They don't play often and they just log in to have fun with their pets. It's been wonderful for them but I'm afraid it's going to have to come to an end with changes made to the way health and happiness work.

Within the course of 2 or 3 days the health and happiness for ALL pets on ALL three accounts went down to 0/58/0. This is while not being logged in at all. My kids don't play enough to get those numbers back up - especially my daughter who has 30 of them. They feel like they've hurt there pets and no matter how much we tell them it isn't their fault they're still crushed that their pets are hurt. I've tried in-game support (no response), email support (no longer allowed), and even calling - all to no avail. I'm furious at what Ganz has done here to my children.

There should be a boycott of all webkinz. Like the previous writer..my children are heartbroken that all of their webkinz are suddenly sick, starving and miserable. How could Ganz just drop everyone's health like that? My son has 86 webkinz. The only way to make them all healthy and happy is to pay for a trip to the webkinz "spa" at a cost of $64,000 webkinz dollars. ARE THEY KIDDING? My daughter only has 25 and I spent all day feeding and excercising these things to make them better...she's only 4...she can't go to Quizzy's and answer questions...she can't read!! This is an OUTRAGE....If they had done this from the beginning...I would've only got a manageable amount...but now my son is penalized for having over 80? Shame on this company...they just ruined their goldmine.

i got a webkinz and it was a pink dinosaur i was really looking forword to play on it, but now when ever i log in it just says they can't connect. but instead of clicking ok like your suppose to do i clicked log out. then my sister told me i was suppose to click ok on the box so i said no on the log out box i opened thinking to find the box that was there before. it wasen't there! clearly i had just been lied to and it made me feel sorry for whom ever has done this without clicking log out then no. but then i tryed to click things to do, just my luck it didn't work! so instead i clicked on the game of the day it brought me to the acarde which is now the only thing i can get on. i have 27 webkinz now i relize WHAT A WASTE OF ALLOWENCE!

My daughter got a new cotton candy bunny from a friend on her birthday a few days ago. We tried to add it into the system and we were told her secret code was already used! WTF?!

There's no way it was used. I just cut off the tag a minute before she entered the code on the site. It was attached securely in the little plastic pouch thing attached to it's arm.

Webkinz really needs to get a clue. And everyone, If you have purchased a webkinz and the secret code doesn't work, It might be already used from somebody guessing codes for a free we bkinz. People are desprate and will guess codes until the find one. And if anyone was wondering, Once you get your 10th webkinz, they stop giving you free rooms. And if you sell something at the Wshop you cannot get it back. I hate it when webkinz doesn't let me do the daily activities! I couldn't do the jellybean guess thing so I told webkinz and they just ignored me! Ganz needs to stop it with these charms and figures and body mists and mouse pads and all of this overpriced crap! I remember getting my first webkinz in 2005. I was the first out of everyone I knew. The log in was a picket fence and there was the curioshop the wshop the arcade and a few other things. I liked it much better then because it was pretty much unknown and you didn't have to buy stuff to get into some weird charm forest or this pet of the month business. I have 21 webkinz and like eight that aren't registered. I am fed up with waiting and waiting to get onto WEBKINZ i have been scammed in the trading room and i am sick and tired of having to buy stuff to get into some parts of webkinz world! I still want to be a webkinz collecter but it isn't fun to be when you can't get on the site! By the way, If you give Arte 100 dollar tips and buy stuff from his store, he will start to say different phrases, Once he says something like your shop is my shop or something like that, ask him about rare items and he will say what time a rare item will be in his store. i hope this little fact will help, If you can ever get on the site.

I once got a bunch of Webkinz items from my cousin. Some clothes, a charm, 3 packs of cards and a charm necklace. The charm, the charm necklace, and 2/3 packs didn't work.

It said the codes were already used. I hate the stupid code system! You should have to enter 3+ codes in a certain order with no warning for if they're in the right order!

To whoever used my codes: I think you should be imprisoned for theft!

ok, im 11 years old, and i have about 3 or 4 friends who really love webkinz. i was going to save up my aloowance this summer(i already have) and buy a family deluxe membership for a christmas present to all of them, plus i really want it for myself. is the deluxe worth it though? are there any extreme bugs i should woorry about?

@ilovehorses, my daughters haven't subscribed to the Deluxe Membership yet, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. It sounds like you would get a lot of cool virtual stuff. If you think your & your friends would like it, it might be a unique gift. Definitely discuss it with your parents. BTW, that's awfully sweet of you to think of doing that!

@marcia, if you resell Webkinz the main thing to consider is whether the codes are used or not. If the codes have been used, I'm not sure if they can be transferred. Make sure the buyer knows if the codes are used or not before you sell the Webkinz.

You may check their site for information about transferring the username and password to someone else.

If your grandaughter has used the codes, she'd basically just be reselling them as regular stuffed animals.

I tried putting all of my webkinz in the same room and it worked... BUT- the next time I tried to get to my rooms it would get to loading characters and then stop. I left it on for an hour and it still didn't load. Since all of my webkinz are in that room I cant move them or get them out of there so now I can't even go in my house!

I have my frustrations with Webkinz but I just wanted to point one thing out. The internet is full of people who will try to hack, cheat, and ruin any web site just for the fun of it. I don't feel Webkinz has done enough to improve customer service in handling complaints. But realistically there will be dozens of people who buy these toys and the codes will not work. Why? Because there are scores of liars and cheaters out there with their hacking programs and bots that find legitimate codes. They then use these codes. The sad part is, they probably aren't webkinz enthusiasts. They do it because they can.

It seems as if im not the only one whos having problems. I can't open another account that i had. i have my secret code and my username because i forgot my password and when i try to log on, it always says theres a problem and try again later. But i could get onto my other accounts just fine and theres no problem. Also, another thing is, my brothers things are dissappearing! Whats up with that? He lost everything in his backyard, garage and items in different rooms when he had just seen them there a minute before. Please fix these problems and make sure it wont happen again. I love webkinz! P.S. I also think that your account shouldnt expire because then you cant get back on unless you add another webkinz but i dont think thats fair. Thank you and PLEASE fix these problems, not only mine. EVERYONES SINCE THE YEAR 2007.

I had asked my gandmother for a webkinz love puppy, this was no ordinary puppy he was $85 off ebay.The day I recived him in the mail I was very happy, so I went to go log him on (right away) and when I saw it said code used I was VERY dissapointed. So I told my dad and he of course said that it was a waste of $85, but I then found something about did it say your tag was used? Then it said click here and I did and then entered the code in and sent it. The next day I checked my e-mail it said the code was used over a year ago and blah blah. CURSE U WEBKINZ!!!!GRRRRR

One evening I went on webkinz to go have a tea party,and i wanted it right now. I set the zone to yellow and sent out the invations,and when i sent it to my friend that was online. I waited ATLEAST 10 minutes 4 them 2 show up.About 15 minutes later my parents said time 2 go 2 bed,and I said can I have a few minutes I JUST sent party invations. They Said OK and I was happy about 10 more minutes later the party still wasn't there. Well the next day I asked my pet what did you do while I was gone, but he said Oh, HeHe I had a party. WHAT?!?!?!? A party without me wow. Some webkinz! NOT surprised he WAS always bad!!!

My son consistently loses his Kinzcash. He purchases a space party, but at the allotted time, invitees are unable to join because there is no button enabling invitees to join the party. Repeated emails to support@webkinz.com receive no acknowledgment.

My webkinz expired a while ago but i could still get on the site although it was slower when loading. Now i have bought another webkinz. Instead of the site being faster (now that i have full membership), i usually can't get on at all - it just doesn't load, no matter how long you wait. I thought Ganz was supposed to be encouraging people to have full membership and buy more webkinz. However, this seems to suggest buying more webkinz just causes problems. What a pity; hopefully this is only temporary.

Webkinz changed their standards of their account form 5 character passwords to 6 character passwords. So I can't access my account because of that and I had like 40 Webkinz, no joke! And I just want to go on!!! I want them to see this so I can get my account back!!!
